NONYLPHENOL
NONYLPHENOL is used as a surfactant in cleaning products. Nonylphenol is an endocrine disruptor and in turn disrupts the natural balance of hormones in affected organisms
VOLATILE ORGANIC COMPOUNDS
VOLATILE ORGANIC COMPOUNDS is a compound that easily becomes gases or vapors. VOCs are released from burning fuel, such as gasoline, wood, coal, or natural gas. VOC’s have been proven to be hazardous to public health, causing skin irritation, rashes, headaches, and respiratory infections.
ALKYLPHENOLS
ALKYLPHENOLS are found in cleaning products, and halogenated fire retardants. It messes with estrogen levels and development of the mammary gland.
CHLORINE
CHLORINE is used in many bleaching processes and contributes to the formation of dioxins and furans. The harmful effects are intensified when the fumes are heated, as in the shower.
SODIUM HYPOCHLORITE (BLEACH)
SODIUM HYPOCHLORITE (BLEACH) is a form of chlorine, bleach is a nasty chemical and similar to rust in that it is corrosive. It can irritate the senses and could even kill you if swallowed. It messes with your nervous system in a toxic way. It is found in a wide range of household cleaners. You wouldn’t swallow bleach so why clean your kitchen with it and then prepare food on your kitchen counter? Residue can transfer to your food and cause prolonged exposure.
ORGANIC SOLVENTS & ORGANIC CHLORINES
Some examples of ORGANIC SOLVENTS AND ORGAN CHLORINES are: toluene, ethylene, chloride, trichloroethylene, formaldehyde- are known to cause mammary tumors in laboratory animals. They are found in such products as computer components, cleaning products, and furniture.
UREA FORMALDEHYDE

CADMIUM
CADMIUM is carcinogenic metal that’s been linked to kidney and liver damage can come into contact with you through drinking glasses or metals.
POLYURETHANE FOAM
POLYURETHANE FOAM is likely to contain flame-retardants. The two major flame-retardants used are Fire master 550, and chlorinated both cause cancer, yet they are used in children’s bedding.
TETRACHLOROETHYLENE
TETRACHLOROETHYLENE used in dry cleaning clothes and is known to be a probable carcinogen.
